PSI uses pool operating data, chemical-feed activity and verified testing to estimate free chlorine between physical tests. Projected FAC provides another point of reference for understanding changing water conditions while maintaining the importance of required physical testing.

How the projection is kept honest

Each projection is locked in before a technician's physical test result is entered, then graded against it. The confidence shown with every projection reflects the pool's own test history. Projected FAC is an estimate: it never replaces required physical testing and does not control chemical feed.
