Know Where the Water Is Going.

Water use can tell you a lot about what's happening at a pool. When water-level information is available, PSI analyzes fill activity alongside other operating information to help operators understand normal water demand and identify activity that deserves investigation.

  • Water-Level Monitoring — see when a connected pool calls for water and when a fill cycle ends.
  • Fill History — review when water was added, how long fills lasted and how usage changes.
  • Expected Water Need — put water use into context based on expected pool conditions.
  • Abnormal Water Activity — identify patterns that may indicate a leak, equipment issue or unexpected water loss.
  • Backwash Recognition — help distinguish intentional water use from unexplained loss.

PSI doesn't just know that the fill valve ran. It helps explain whether the water use makes sense.

How it connects

A water-level sensor requests water through a PoolCop input; PoolCop opens the fill valve on an auxiliary output. PSI reads both signals, measures each fill, estimates gallons from the calibrated fill rate, and compares the day's water use with what weather and pool conditions would predict.

Fill eventsStart, duration and estimated gallons for every fill — the one record every other view reads.
Expected needEvaporation adjusted for temperature, sun, humidity and wind, plus backwash recovery, minus estimated rain gain.
Leak likelihoodA persistence ladder — one spike is never a leak; sustained, unexplained loss raises the level.
CostsToday, 7-day, month and year-to-date water cost at your rate.
